Henry

Sharing some pics of Henry, our American Guinea Hog boar. A boar is a male pig capable of breeding. Henry was bred and born in Kansas, and is registered with 100% American Guinea Hog DNA.   Henry is our herd sire. In the nature of the American Guinea Hog, Henry is docile and pleasant to work around. He has never shown any evidence of aggressiveness with us or with piglets, which is one of the important traits that drew us to this heritage breed of pig, the original "American Homesteader Hog". At about 400 pounds and with a low center of gravity, powerful snout and razor sharp tusks, Henry could be a formidable animal. We hope that the many predators here in Matunuck also feel that way about him.
Yum, my favorite. Razor sharp tusks.Once a week, fresh Bertsie's Beauties (our eggs).Beautiful, kind face.Lettuce is a favorite treat. Not sure about those green onion tops.
